Refractometer (0 ... 32% Brix) for beer
Designed to determine the percentage and specific gravity of sugar in beer wort, before and during fermentation. Also, a portable refractometer will be useful in measuring the percentage of sugar in fruit juices in the manufacture of grape and fruit wine. The refractometer is equipped with automatic temperature compensation (Automatic Temperature Compensation), which allows you to work in a temperature range from 10°C to 30°C without calibration, and has two measurement scales. The first scale (0 .. 32 % Brix) determines the percentage of sugar, the second scale SG (1.000 .. 1.120 kg/m3 Specific Gravity) determines the specific gravity of sugar in the production of wine or beer.
Calibration of the refractometer is carried out if necessary, using the calibration screw located on the instrument case, according to the recommendations of the instructions.
Advantages:
- aluminium case;
- optical principle of operation;
- compact design;
- adjustable focus;
- clear display;
- soft and flexible eyepiece;
- simple and easy manual calibration;
Application area:
- control of sugar concentration in drinks and foodstuffs;
- checking the maturity of fruit and berries and determining the period of harvesting crops;
- determination of density and sugar content in grape and beer must;
- brewing and winemaking.
