Styrian Golding belongs to the Fuggles hop family. This is an old traditional Slovenian aromatic variety widely used in brewing for the production of ales and lagers.
Styrian Golding is one of the popular aromatic varieties with a classic noble, slightly spicy aroma. It contains from 2.8 to 5.5% α-acid (27.0-31.0% cohumulone). The norm between α- and β-acids is about 1.7. Essential oil content varies from 0.6 to 1.2 (ml/100g dry weight).
